This is a brand new replacement exhaust for the classic mini trail-70 and reproduction trail 70. This is a complete exhaust assembly that has the look of the original 1972+ style exhaust. The exhaust is made from a good thick steel to stand up to long use. The exhaust will fit the classic mini trail-70 bikes 1969 to 1994 and the reproduction bikes. Fitment for these pipes is different from the originals due to the pipe being built for a clone bike.
Mounting Brackets
The exhaust mounting tab over the shock is bigger to fit aftermarket shocks and gives more room for the stock setup. For the small mounting tab by the engine, we have had no problems. We find this helps fits more makes of engines, from the head to the mounting tab by the shock.
This is an aftermarket exhaust that is designed for the reproduction bikes. However, it will mount on your stock frame with the following modifications:
The shock tab mount will not be centered in the mounting hole and we recommend removing the original exhaust stay bolt.
Either the lower shield on the exhaust needs to be removed, or the spark plug guard on the stock cradle needs to be removed or slightly bent out to accommodate the exhaust shield. Our aftermarket parts are made for the clone Skymaxx
reproduction bike and are very good quality but are not made to Exact Honda
Specifications and exact fitment. We have installed them on our
showroom stock CT70 bikes prior to selling the item to make sure that they will
fit with the least amount of modification as possible. Any other brand of clone
bike may require additional modifications. Best to mount from the head pipe first, do not fully tighten down, then mount to shock tab, then tighten all hardware.
The exhaust does not include a new gasket. THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANY MOTOR CC OVER 70CC.

Exhaust Gasket/Donut where the exhaust mounts into the cylinder head of the motor/engine. It is a thicker gasket measuring at 4.39mm thick. We use this on all of our service builds!
