Thumper 2 Exhaust Kit

Are you looking for the best flowing exhaust system for your trail 70 but want the stock look? This is an advanced design by Trail Buddy Inc. for the classic mini trail-70 frame and with a larger cc motor installed. It will function with the clone CT70's, however some small modification may be necessary. The Thumper 2 has an open flow design with a 1 inch neck down outlet. We get the best low to top end performance with this combination. This is a new pipe manufactured for Trail Buddy.

This exhaust has been designed by us for maximum performance and sound.

 Mounting Brackets

The Thumper exhaust mounting tab over the shock is bigger to fit aftermarket shocks and gives more room for the stock setup, it will stick out an extra inch unless you take the spacer off the rear shock mount. For the small mounting tab by the engine, we have had no problems. We find this helps fit more makes of engines, from the head to the mounting tab by the shock.                                                                                                                                                                                               

The exhaust will mount onto the classic mini trail-70 frame and SOME reproduction bikes, with a larger cc motor installed. If you are using this exhaust system with your stock skid plate and spark plug shield, the lower heat shield on the exhaust will need to be removed to clear the spark plug shield. The included upper heat shield can be replaced with a CT70 1972-1978 stock shield. It is not recommended and not designed to work with the stock 70cc motor due to performance issues.

This is perfect for larger engines and higher flow for more power with a great sound. Just look at the video.

 We recommend taking off the exhaust stay bolt from the original bikes.  They kick out the exhaust a few more inches and if you take it off the exhaust will mount closer to the frame. We have attached a pic collage of the exhaust stay with exhaust.  

The Thumper may require a little persuasion depending on what engine is used, tightening too much on the head before final installation may cause fitment issues.  We do not provide compensation for aftermarket parts installation issues. It is best to mount first on the head, do not tighten down, then mount on the shock bolt.  Then tighten all bolts. 

Does not include an exhaust gasket.

Not the best option for a 190cc motor, will fit with some modification but may not provide optimum air flow.
