Trail Buddy’s steering stem bearings kit is designed as a
drop-in replacement to upgrade OEM ball-type bearings to tapered roller
bearings and includes a replacement shim washer.
Tapered roller bearings provide decreased maintenance,
less wear, smoother operation, and longer life. Kits come
complete with both upper (22.5 mm) and lower (24 mm) bearing cups
and cones.
Important Notes:
- With
our tapered bearings, the lower rubber dust shield from the old
ball bearing setup is not used.
- A new
replacement shim is included; please remove your old one before
installation. For reference, see the schematic for your specific model
year and the installation video linked below.

Replacement Triple Tree for either our 30mm Fork Assemblies (TB149 or TB167) or the clone 26mm Fork Assemblies. It will slide over the stock 26mm forks but you will not be able to use the rubber boots and the stock fork ears will not fit.
