VAPOR HONING/WATER BLASTING
A new service offered by Trail Buddy! This is a new machine for us that cleans original parts back to their original shined finish using water and glass bead, making your restoration project that much easier. While our focus is on parts for the CT70, this service is open to anything within 30"x18"x20".
BEFORE shipping, it is highly recommended that parts are COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLED, cleaned and bearings are removed by the customer to keep labor hours low. Vapor honing is NOT a cleaning process, it is purely meant for refinishing.
Our vapor honing process includes:

Upon arrival, your parts are inspected and photographed, with any potential issues identified.

If needed, your parts undergo a cleaning process using a parts cleaner to remove heavy deposits of grease, sludge, or oil. They are then re-inspected.

Your parts are vapor blasted in our cabinet, examined, and returned to the vapor blaster if necessary. After blasting, they are rinsed with water, dried, and inspected for quality.

The finished parts are photographed, carefully packed, and returned to you.
Pricing:
Mandatory initial setup fee: $25
Price per hour: $75
Turn around time can vary due to backlog and technician availability, but we aim to have your part finished between 3-4 business days upon arrival.
